Leicester Floors began trading from a small shop in central Durban in 1978, and with continued support from clients with whom we have built long-lasting relationships, has grown into one of KZN’s most experienced and trusted flooring contractors.
Leicester Floors is affiliated with the KZN Master Builders Association.
In 1991 we moved to our present offices in Westmead. It is from these premises that we have grown the business exponentially, now servicing the needs of clients that range from architects, quantity surveyors, building contractors, corporate and retail clients, government, property developers and homeowners. Although we have grown, Leicester Floors remains at heart, a company driven by family values. One that believes in service, personal relationships and always putting the interests of our clients above all else.

This ensures that we retain industry experience (with many of our team having up to 40 years history with us), and expert technical knowledge in both floor preparation and product selection.
The team comprises highly trained and skilled installers, backed up by knowledgeable and experienced management and support staff, who guide and advise clients on the most suitable and innovative products for their environment.
In 2022 the business underwent a change of ownership when Ed Rothwell bought the majority shareholding.
Ed brings with him considerable experience from the government and corporate construction, building and renovation sectors.
